Comparative analysis of the article in the British newspapers
Anglų analizė. Comparative analysis of the article in the British newspapers.
The article I‘m going to compare in different newspapers is about a girl, who was stabbed with a knife by the man she met on a bus on March 8. The first newspaper in which I found this article was ‘The Daily Mirror‘ which is a national daily tabloid newspaper and costs 0,5 £. The headline said: ‘Stabbed to death on bus to school‘. It was easy to notice this article, because like in other ‘redies‘ such as ‘The Sun‘ you could easily notice the black background and big white letters witch catch your eye. The article was in the front page and also had references to pages 4-5. The article included not only big bright headlines, but also red mind bubbles, social media features (tweets), inverted commas and photos from the victim‘s life and the accident place. The content of the article was focused on the victim and also there was a short story of the accident. The main accent was on her tweet which was saying ‘This man worrying me on the bus.. he‘s walking up and down the stairs‘
