A second model is called: “Response hierarchy model”. It shows what is the sequence of mental stages through which a customer passes on his journey towards a purchase. This model is sometimes called ‘message model’, since it helps to prioritize the communication objectives by determining whether a cognitive effect or behavioural response is required, also whether the organization wants to create awareness in the target audience’s mind, or to change an attitude.
