The eminent Harvard political philosopher Michael Sandel in his speech at Ted conference points out the relationship between morality and politics and explores it‘s revelance to debates. He starts off the discussion by raising the question: how we imagine justice. Drawing on the works of Aristotle, Sandel asserts that justice is giving people that they deserve. From this point he conveys the meaning of the statement in various contemporary issues beginning with a discussion on the allocation of flutes, continuing on to a golf controversy that made it all the way to Supreme Court, and ending with debates on one sex marriage. Here he brings up excellent idea that it is hard to decide what justice requires without reviewing the question what it is the essential nature of activity and that qualities are worth honoring in it.
