I am writing to inquire about an article that was written by Laura Gottesdiener. The article “7 highly disturbing trends in junk food advertising to children”, written November 29th, 2012, explained that child obesity in the USA is an issue mainly caused by junk food advertisements that are focused only on children. Although the article is factually correct, it is incorrect to blame only the advertisement market.
In the article, it stated that the amount of advertisement specifically towards children is steadily increasing. It may look like that because of the reason that the overall number of advertisements for all audiences is increasing.
