“Oliver Twist“ and “Oliver!“
The musical is very different than the book. While the whole purpose of the book is to solve Oliver‘s inheritance, in the musical this topic is barely touched. Moreover, some of the most important parts in the book were omitted in the musical, a large piece of the book was just left out. The musical didn‘t left the same feelings as the book did. Reading the book the reader feels angry and sorry for Oliver, because of the way how people treat him. While musical leaves viewer cheerful, because of it‘s irony and humor. It shows things with humor, which in fact were not funny at all.
