Are Shakespeare’s works still relevant to young people today.

Firstly, Romeo and Juliet is a play that talks about an impossible love between two characters and the main theme is tragedy love. Nowadays there are some cases that our parents want us to marry someone of our same religion, social state and culture. Many young people could be interested about this theme because they’re passing in an age range where love and friendship are very important. Moreover, they do not want anybody to tell them what they can do or what they cannot do.

Secondly, Hamlet is a tragedy story written after the death of Shakespeare’s son in 1596. Unfortunately this topic is still present today in teenagers’ lives. Another important reason is that he had a powerful use of language and used strong description of the characters, atmosphere and background. Hamlet is an inspiration for all people who love tragedy, and for this reason people cannot stop reading it.
