The Functioning and Interdependence of the Three Branches of Government: The USA, the UK and Lithuania

Nowadays all countries have different political policies. Based on that the way country is governed may differ as well. In order for the power not to be misused it has been separated in three interdependent branches: the executive, legislative and judicial. In this essay I will compare those branches of power in three different countries: the USA, the UK and Lithuania.

To begin with, there is a clear similarity between the USA and Lithuania – the one who is responsible for the executive branch in those countries is the president. He or she is responsible for appointing the head officials, cabinet and judges for the court. He or she also to some extent controls the legislation- signs and approves bills or returns them back to Houses for further consideration or even vetoes them.
