In preparation the speaker has to plan the presentation thoroughly. What is the purpose of the presentation – to inform, to review or to persuade? What information needs to be communicated? How that information will be structured?

In preparation the speaker must think about who are his audience (business partners, customers, colleagues). How formal or informal the presentation has to be? How much does the audience know about the theme you are presenting? How long will they be able to concentrate?

Also the presenter must think about how and what visual aids can help the listeners understand what is being told.

Before starting the speaker should check the equipment.
