Influence of conflicts on organizational performance

The learning organization principles, theory and practice. The benefits of learning organization within companies.

The benefits of a learning organization are endless. Learning in organizations has become not only an important practice, but also a vital contributor to the overall success of the company. Learning provides more information to corporations, and information is one of the key assets for most companies. Companies, that have more information than others, also have a competitive advantage, therefore, learning can produce a competitive advantage for a firm and that may be the fundamental factor for its success. Nowadays, in high tech start-ups, information, or more precisely – knowledge, is critical, and the main reason why they exist in the first place is the intellectual capital that they possess.

In learning organizations the loss of most important employees is less disturbing, because the information in the company is usually shared among the staff and the company does not lose so much of the knowledge that the former employee has possessed. On the contrary, in a company that sharing knowledge among employees is not a regular practice, a loss of an important employee may be detrimental, because all the knowledge that the former employee has possessed is lost.

Moreover, organizational learning also improves performance. The overall performance of the employees is increased because through learning and personal mastery employees expand their current and develop new skills and abilities. By acquiring new skills and abilities, employees become more competitive and provide more value to the company. Organizational learning also improves employee morale, recruitment and retention.
