Schindler's Ark book review

Schindler's Ark book review.

Based on numerous eyewitness accounts, Keneally‘s story is unbearably moving but never melodramatic. The topic is approached with sensitivity. It is extremely readable, yet it does not skim over the brutality of tragical events. Ark is a biography, but is also crafted with the same kind of delicacy as a work of literature. Oskar Schindler was a human – he was a philanderer, a drinker. Although the main character was not a good husband to frankly saint-like wife, he saved the lives of a lot of people. One of the most amazing things aboutthe whole masterpiece is that the creation of dialogues and scene-setting is strictly connected with historical records.
