It is argued that earning lots of money has more significance to people than being fulfilled in their work. While this may be true for some, others find being driven to go to your work is more important.
Employees earning a large income are generally under significant pressure to perform well and achieve goals. This causes many workers to suffer high levels of stress which leads to mental and physical problems. This happened to my uncle. He used to boast a huge salary but the boss kept increasing his sales targets and in the end, he had a nervous breakdown. Now he regrets being driven by money.
